January 2019 and 500 Plus Followers

I have been incredibly blessed this past year, not only in celebrating this blog which has led me to interact with some great people but for giving me another year for self growth. I let go of self doubt and the fear that had held me back from doing things that I wanted to do for so long. I took the leap of faith, found the time and begun what I did as a self care hobby now turned into my very own YouTube channel – yes, it’s very terrifying but exciting. I’ve also found a way to enjoy the design aspect of art and opened my online store with RedBubble. If there’s one thing I’ve learned as I get older, is that risks are worth taking when there’s passion behind it.

Also, in celebration of my 500 followers, I want to thank you all, for giving me the encouragement to continue to speak on my condition and chronic pain – Chiari Malformation and Syringomyelia. And in continuing to honor that, I’ll share with you five things about me I have yet to share.

  1. My most favorite scent is lavender.
  2. Even though I live with chronic pain, I have a high tolerance for pain.
  3. I’ve had 10 surgeries.
  4. I am crafty, love all things DIY – so fun! And lastly ….
  5. My most favorite number is 5.

May you be blessed and have a heart filled with courage to accomplish things this new year and always.

      1. Yes! We moved last weekend and now I just have a couple of things to finish up in the boys room. I also had someone give me an IKEA bunk bed, so we also have to set that up in the boys room.
They’re enjoying the new space so much though! I’m so happy for them! I didn’t grow up in a house, so I’m very excited for them.

      2. Yes! We had one that you can transform into two individual twin beds. But it went in the girls room. So, the boys now have their very own.
I can’t tell you how small the last space was. But we made it work and it made for great memories. The kids continue to say they miss their old house. 😊 But they’re enjoying this one so much. God has His time. The perfect timing for it all.
I come from very little. And I’m glad the children have experienced it even a tiny bit, because they’re really grateful for this new place.

    1. Wow! That sounds amazing! 🥰💕 Lavender is the very best! Love creating things from scratch or giving something a new life and purpose. Brings me so much joy!

Thank you for your support, means so much. 😊 Hope you’ve been well. I’ve been a bit out of touch on the blog. We moved to a new home, been packing, and then unpacking and putting things in their place. Thankfully the hard part is over. 😊🙏🏽

      1. Haha! The children are still out from school on Christmas break. So if by fun you mean, borderline stressful, then yes, yes, it was fun! 😏😎
We are loving it! The children especially, more room. It’s tough now in Miami, Florida. The cost of living is so high, and for a ‘decent’ place with a yard will come at a high price every month. But at the rate the homes are going, we got the new place at a ‘good’ price. So, we’re praying my husband continues to do well at work and God continues to provide for the rest. 😊🙏🏽

      1. Oh wow I’m so happy for you! I’m writing a post for hopefully this weekend on using the ECG feature. I hoped you liked the videos on the watch! If you listen to podcasts, The Apple Watchcast Podcast is the best one for tips and they all have the 4 now. Plus down to earth, not technically overloaded either.

    1. Thank you so much my friend! Been thinking about you lately and wondering how you’ve been doing. Courage! We’ll get through this. One day at a time. No long term commitments, as they fog our current state and make us feel overwhelmed almost immediately.

Same here, the holidays overwhelm me. They are joyous but they do kick my symptoms up a notch. And that’s the same reason why I haven’t posted. That and we moved to a new house. But I survived the move! 😊🙏🏽 We’re all settled and doing good. Now I’m trying to focus on my 8 year olds science project due the week they get back to school from the holiday break. 😏 I mean, is it a break when you need to work on a science project?! Don’t know! Haha. Who makes these decisions?! 😆

    1. So sweet, same here! It’s so comforting and lovely to have got to encounter so many great individuals that share so many things alike.
May this new year bring you many more blessing, love and health. 😊🙏🏽

  1. That’s very good. I wish this year you grow your blog 10x more than 2018.
Having 10 surgeries might have been really really tough. I can just do the talking whereas you’ve actually lived it. Even a needle pains here. Great tolerance of pain there.
Also, I just wanted to tell you that I’ve just uploaded a recent post which is on ‘How to Improve your Mental Health in 2019’ I hope you take a read.
Wishing you great prosperity and a very Happy New Year. 😊😊

    1. Thank you Piyush! I really don’t like needles, thankfully there are some nurses that have such a great ‘hand’ and you really feel close to nothing.
Oh nice! I will definitely read it!
Likewise dearest friend. Many well wishes to you this new year and always! 😊🙏🏽
Thank you for your continued support, I appreciate you.
