I’ve never understood why people make New Year’s Resolutions. There are those that want to lose weight and other short or long term promises that they choose to make to themselves come the new year. As for me, I like to say, I’ll do better than I did yesterday. That just seems a bit easier, to the point and in no way am I committed to something that seems hard to attain. So, this meme here today sums it up quite well!
I’d love to know your thoughts on New Year’s Resolutions, yay or nay?!

Nay. I’ll take it one day at a time and try all over again every day to be a better me. I’m in no race, after all.

Awe! Yes! Most definitely. I completely agree. There’s no need to plan, there’s a goal, and that is to be a better me. Amen! 😊🙏🏽

That’s a funny meme. But yeah, I can only try to make the best of the New Year by trying to be better every day.

That’s all we can do. Try harder tomorrow, try again to be the best version of ourselves. I agree. Thank you Yvonne for your input 😊🙏🏽

Yes I would say why wait for a new year day to take a resolution…
what we have decide to do should be done on the day and followed….
I have seen new year resolution last just less than one month…

Yes, I agree. Making realistic goals help in motivating us to keep it going.
Thank you for your input Chiru, hope you’re doing well. 🙂

I gave up new year resolutions too! I just made a simple (yet complicated) promise to myself to be happier 🙂

Awe! That’s a very sweet and very honest promise. It’s so true, we can get coughs up in overly complicating things and become unhappy at a drop of a hat.
I’ve heard also, to say, yes more often. That’s another complicated but very truthful one. I’m trying to do that one.

That’s amazing! Saying yes is synonymous with positivity! May you have a wonderful year 🙂

I think it’s people feeling guilty after Christmas. I gave up drinking 3 years ago – I often claim when asked that it was a New Years Resolution even though the decision was made in June. Before Christmas decided to try and switch to Decaf Coffee. So I suppose that possibly counts.

Good for you! I’m so glad you did!
My husband is a recovering alcoholic and that’s no easy decision. But as it’s best for him, it’s also the best for his children and family overall.
Decaf, hows that going? That must be difficult.

I’m trying to be your typical English person and drink Tea (decaf). Was struggling but I think when the brain worked out that you get a little bit of caffeine in Decaf it kinda went along with the switch.

Oh so glad it’s made the switch! Yes, we get into the habit of things so change in can hard. I don’t blame you for having had struggled, I would have too.

I fully support your decision to stop drinking! I come from a long line of addicts of many different substances. Alcohol, praise God, has no place in my life anymore. But decaf….. I’m afraid I must rebel lol!! I’ll support that from a distance lol!

Amen, thank God! Alcohol can take your over your life and destroys family.
Haha! Support is support nonetheless.

Never heard of Three Kings Day. He became a man who died on the cross and the same man resurrected 3 days later.

That’s Him! Same one!
Really. We celebrate Three Kings Day January 6th. It’s the final day of the 12th day of Christmas. Which is when the Three Wise Men visited Jesus after his birth.

Haha. 😆 Or informed?! Maybe informed.
Our church holds a yearly event for children for Three Kings Day. As the wise men brought baby Jesus gifts, they also give all the children in the church gifts too. They sing and give out food afterwards – very nice.

But cultured sounds so much gooder… it sounds to be a very heartfelt tradition. Thank you for sharing it with me!

It’s always gooder but I’ll go for informed myself.
It is, so nice and sweet that the church does that for the children. They look forward to it every year. You’re welcome!
